Start a job when you have work to do for a customer. A customer and an address is all it needs.
Create the job
- Tap the plus button and choose New job. You can also open Jobs and tap New job.
- Type the Job title.
- Choose the Customer, or add a new one.
- Enter the Address.
- Tap Create job.
Other details
These are optional, and you can set them later.
If you leave scheduling off, the message says Schedule it once it's approved. Tap Schedule from the job when you are ready.
- Notes for the crew.
- Price book, if this job should use a different one than your default.
- Schedule: turn on Put it on the schedule now to choose a date, start time and crew.
A job that is waiting on a deposit
A job cannot be scheduled until its deposit is collected or waived. If you try, the job is created but not scheduled, and the message says the deposit comes first. Collect or waive it from the job's Money tab.
What a job holds
Once it exists, add a drawing, an estimate, photos, daily logs, invoices and change orders to it. They all live on the job page.
Pro tip: A lead becomes a job when it is sold. If someone phoned you first, start in Pipeline instead and let the sale create the job.
