Jobs

The job page

Everything about one job on one page: five tabs for the work, the paperwork, the money, the activity and the punch list.

The job page is the one place to see a job. You edit in place and changes save where you make them.

The five tabs

  • Overview: the job at a glance, its next step, the crew and the schedule. On some screens it is called Work, or Today for crew.
  • Paperwork: the job's documents and photos. On some screens it is called Docs.
  • Money: contract, billing, change orders and the money journey. Only people with money access see it.
  • Activity: the customer conversation and the running history of the job.
  • Punch: the punch list that crew and collaborators work from.

The money journey

On the Money tab a strip shows where the job stands: Price, Sign, Deposit, Bill and Paid. It tells you what is next, such as Deposit due or Unbilled.

  • Contract, plus approved change orders, gives the current contract.
  • Then you see what has been invoiced, collected and still owed.
  • Pending change orders are shown as projected, not as part of the contract.

Paperwork and photos

Permits, checklists, warranties, drawings and photos belong to the job, so you find them here and not in a separate place. Cross-job lists are in Photos and Aftercare.

Where jobs go next

The job page shows its flow step, whether it is on hold and who owns the numbers. See The job flow.

Pro tip: End each day with a daily log. It costs five minutes and protects you if a job turns into a dispute.
