Daily logs

A daily log records what happened on a job each day: the crew, the hours, the work, the weather and the photos.

A daily log is the diary of a job. It is the best protection you have if a job turns into a dispute.

Write a log

You can add to a log until the office has read it.

  • Open the job, then choose Log a day. Field members can do this from their visit.
  • Pick the day, the weather and the crew.
  • Add the hours on site, what got done, materials and notes.
  • Tap Write it from my photos to draft what got done from the day's photos. Read it before you send.
  • Add photos. Photos are private by default. Tap Private on a photo to show it to the homeowner.
  • Switch on Needs office if something went wrong: a delay, a wrong part, a homeowner request, damage, an inspection or a safety problem.
  • Tap Send to the office.

No work today

If nobody worked that day, tap Mark no work and give the reason.

For the office

Open Daily logs in the Work group.

When you review a log it locks. Reopen it if it needs a change.

  • To review: handed-in logs waiting for the office.
  • Needs office: logs the crew flagged.
  • Missed job-days: days a crew worked with no log. Remind the crew from here.
  • Homeowner updates: each Friday at 5 pm a weekly update is drafted for every live job with a log. Read it, then Send the update.

Catch up

Crew can use Catch up on my logs to fill in missed days. Today also shows the days that need a log.

Pro tip: Flag problems with Needs office on the day they happen. The office hears first, not last.
