Where leads come from

Lead sources, service areas and what happens to a lead when it arrives.

Leads can arrive without anyone typing them. Settings, Selling, Lead sources shows every way a lead gets in, with its status.

Lead sources

Every lead records its source. The Lead sources report shows which ones bring real work.

  • Your estimate request form: a page a homeowner fills in. See Estimate request form.
  • Services you offer: the list of services the form shows.
  • Lead API key: for services such as Zapier or marketplaces that post leads to you.
  • Other channels you connect, such as Angi or Thumbtack, appear under Integrations.

Service areas

Give each market the ZIP codes it serves in Settings, Selling, Service areas. A lead is routed to the market for its job site ZIP. A lead outside every area still arrives. It is not guessed into the wrong market.

Your own domain

On the Scale plan you can use your own web address for your form. A domain shows pending until the DNS record you added reaches the internet. That wait is on your registrar's side. It is set in Settings, Company, Customer domain.

Calls

Calls to your business number appear in Call history. Texting back a missed call needs a business number, which starts when you pick a paid plan. It is not part of the free trial.

Pro tip: Answering within an hour matters more than your price, your reviews or your website.
