Three kinds of marker go on a layout. They appear in reports when the tag section is on.
Tags
Tags classify parts of the drawing and hold the measurements. Window and Door are built in. Use tag windows (tag w) or tag doors (tag d), then tap the layout where each one is. Tags number themselves in the order you place them (W1, W2, D1), per layout. Each tag opens a detail sheet for size, style, material and notes, which is what the report and the takeoff read. Everything else you tag, such as roofing or gutters, is a tag category you define. See Tag categories.
Clear tags with delete tags current layout or delete tags all layouts.
Pro tip: Place tags in a steady order, such as left to right and top to bottom, so the numbers read naturally in the report.
Views
A View tag says which side of the house a layout shows: Front, Back, Left or Right (view f, b, l, r). The tag draws a small house with a person standing on the side being viewed, below it for Front, above it for Back and beside it for Left or Right. Put one on the floor plan next to each elevation layout so a reader knows which wall they are seeing. Views carry no quantity or price.
Pins
A pin marks a spot without a number or a size. The quick ones are door, window and X (pin d, pin w, pin x). The full set is the Pin Catalog. Use pins for damage, equipment and follow-ups. Pins work on every layout type.
Label styles
Each label can be styled: background, border and text color, font, size and alignment. Color can carry meaning, such as red for replace, green for keep and yellow for look again.
Six preset slots hold complete styles. Tap one to load it. Press and hold for about a second to save the current style into it. The built-in ones are Default, Blueprint, Warning, Clean White, Red Flag and Dark Mode. You can also save with labelstyle save.
Grid color presets are separate: six slots for the canvas colors (selected, line, closed-shape and background). Use reset colors to return to defaults, or reset styles all to reset everything.
