Schedule a job

Booking a job is one guided sheet: pick the day, pick the crew, then confirm exactly what the crew and the customer are told.

Every way of booking a job opens the same sheet: Schedule from a list row, the Ready to schedule tile, dragging in Month, the job page, or a stop on the board. It has three steps and shows what will happen before anything happens.

Step 1: Date

  • Choose the Day.
  • Set the Start time if you know it.
  • Set how many days the job runs, or when it Finishes. A one-day job says so.

Step 2: Crew

If you pick no crew the job shows under Needs crew.

  • Tap the people who go.
  • The list shows who is Free first, then who has done this trade, then who is nearby.
  • A busy person can still go. It warns and never blocks.
  • Someone without an app login is flagged so you can tell them yourself.

Step 3: Confirm

Confirm shows what changes and who hears about it.

Tap Schedule. If more jobs are ready, the button reads Schedule and goes to the next ready job.

  • Checks: a deposit not yet collected, a field verify not done, an order not placed or a job on hold. Collect, Waive, Verify or Resume right there.
  • Crew pushes: who gets a push.
  • The customer text, word for word, with a switch. It says if the customer has no mobile number or customer texts are off.
  • A reason, if the finish moves into a later month.

Texts and the trial

Customer texts are part of paid plans. During your free trial the customer is told by email.

Pro tip: Read the customer text before you turn it on. It is exactly what they get.
