Field people and shared drawings

What a Field person or an outside viewer sees: a home of their drawings and jobs, photo uploads, markup, and no editing of the plan.

A Field person, or an outsider you share a drawing with such as a homeowner, an inspector or a subcontractor, gets a trimmed view. They never use a seat and they cannot change the plan.

The home screen

Instead of the full editor they see a home listing what is shared with them, grouped by team and market. Search finds a drawing by name, address, PO or order number. Recent ones come first, an Updated badge shows what changed since they last looked, and a stats bar counts drawings, updated and teams. One person can belong to several teams at once.

Looking at a drawing

Tapping a drawing opens a dashboard with Floor Plans, Photos and Review. They can zoom and pan every layout, browse the gallery and check tags in the Review dashboard. They cannot edit layouts, tags or drawing details.

Photos and markup

They can add photos and videos (a video up to 60 seconds) from the camera, the photo library or a file. These go in a separate Collaborator Photos area with the person's name and time, so they do not mix with your own. People can delete their own uploads.

They can also mark up photos, including the team's main photos, with draw, text, box and stickers. Everyone's markup syncs live and each mark has its author's color. A person can delete their own marks, and an admin or manager can delete anyone's.

Inviting and removing

An owner, admin or manager invites by email or by a link that opens the app on the invite. The invitee signs in and the invite is accepted. An admin or manager assigns which drawings or markets they see, and removing them takes effect at once on every drawing of that team.

Pro tip: Ask a client to photograph finished work or trouble spots. Their photos land in the drawing without cluttering your gallery.
