Open a photo in the gallery and tap edit. Seven tools appear: Draw (freehand, with color and width), Box, Circle, Arrow, Text, Sticker and Erase. Drag a placed box, text or sticker to move it and drag a corner to resize. Pinch to zoom for exact placement. Undo and redo work through the session.
Saving
When you leave markup the notes are saved with the photo permanently. They show in reports with the original image. You can return and edit them later.
Team drawings
On a team drawing with cloud sync, markup is shared. Each stroke, box, arrow or text is its own item attributed to its maker, so several people can mark the same photo at once without conflict. Collaborators can mark up the photos they can open, so office staff and customers can leave review notes.

Use arrows and short text on inspection photos so the report explains itself. The sticker picker also offers the team's stickers. See Team stickers.
