In any app, tap Share and choose Measure Tech PRO. The file is copied in and the app opens an import sheet where you choose: overlay it on the current layout, make a new layout, or start a new drawing.
Formats
Ten types are accepted, the same as the in-app picker: PDF, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, HEIC, SVG, DXF, DWG, DOCX and DOC. Images and PDFs become overlays or Document layouts. DXF, DWG and SVG become Drafting layouts (see Importing CAD files). Word files are converted to PDF first.
Word documents
A Word file is uploaded to a conversion service and returned as a multi-page PDF, which opens as a Document layout you can mark up. This needs internet and a file under 50 MB. For speed or offline use, export it as a PDF on your computer first, and PDF import is instant.
Handy uses
Email a blueprint, then Share to Measure Tech PRO and trace it as an overlay. Import a scope PDF to keep beside your tags. Files you bring in are listed under the drawing's documents.
