Customer portal

One page per customer that shows where each job stands, what needs them, and lets them sign, pay and book. Set it up in Settings.

The customer portal is a page you send a customer. It shows their jobs, what needs them, their documents and their payments. They need no app and no account. The customer sees it as their project page.

What the customer sees

  • One line at the top: whether something needs them.
  • One button for the next thing, for example sign the proposal, pay an invoice or confirm a date.
  • Each property, with its steps from Quote to Done and its next visit.
  • Documents: proposals, contracts, change orders, invoices, receipts and warranties.
  • Photos you chose to show.
  • A way to message you, request a visit or book one.

Send it

Tap Text the portal link or Send portal link on the customer or job. The link is per person. A customer with three jobs has one page. It reads the live job every time, so it is never out of date.

During the free trial, send the link by email or copy it. Texts start on a paid plan.

Settings

Open Settings, Company, Customer portal. You can set:

Your own web address for the portal is in Settings, Company, Customer domain on the Scale plan.

  • What customers can do: booking, visit requests, plans, messages and review requests.
  • Booking times: the days and windows when a customer can ask for a visit, how many at once, and how far ahead. Choose whether bookings confirm themselves.
  • Brand colour, shared with your documents.

Preview as customer

Preview as customer opens the page exactly as the customer sees it. It records nothing: no view is counted and nothing lands in their activity.

Turn off access

Turn off access stops every link the customer holds at once: the portal, each job link and the job photos. Nothing turns it back on by accident. Only Send portal link, which then reads Turn back on, hands them a fresh link. The old links stay off.

The links ledger

Every link you have sent is listed while it still opens: portal, signing and change-order links. Each shows when it was created, when it expires, how many times it was opened and when it was last seen. You can turn off any one.

Pro tip: Before you chase a quiet proposal, see whether the link was opened. "Did it come through?" is a better call than "Have you decided?"
